Look at Non-Metallic Plumbing Systems during ASPE Webinar

FlowGuard Gold® CPVC

The American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) will be conducting a free webinar for its members on February 19, 2014. Titled “Comparing the Design Consideration of Non-Metallic Plumbing Systems,” the hour-long seminar will provide plumbing engineers and designers, building officials, plumbing contractors and building maintenance engineers with an in-depth, technical comparison of the various non-metallic plumbing system options available on the market today. Interested individuals can earn 0.1 Continuing Education Credits by attending the webinar.

As a growing number of non-metallic alternatives continue to replace traditional metal plumbing systems, this webinar will provide participants with the knowledge to make informed decisions about which non-metallic system is the best choice for any given project’s requirements. Topics include:

  • Features and benefits of each of the non-metallic plumbing system materials
  • How various fitting systems and joining techniques can affect project reliability, time and cost
  • Model code considerations and standards requirements that can impact your design specification
  • Life-limiting factors of non-metallic pipe and fitting systems

This key webinar is being sponsored by Lubrizol and will be presented by Lubrizol Piping consultant, Mark Tanner, CPD. Mark is well-qualified to speak on the topic. He has spent 30 years in the consulting engineering field during which time he achieved his “Certified in Plumbing Design” designation. Tanner has spent a great majority of his career designing plumbing, piping, HVAC and fire protection systems, while also managing numerous construction projects – everything from military installations on various bases around the country to various marina systems and other high-tech projects.

ASPE members can learn more about and register for the free program by visiting the webinar’s webpage.
