Purpose
To demonstrate the superior burst strength of FlowGuard GoldŽ pipe.
Video Demonstration
A 3/4" FlowGuard Gold pipe sample is place under pressure. Water is pumped into the sample at a rate of 25 psi per second until the pipe bursts. The time of the test and the pressure rating is recorded during the test.
Test Method ASTM D1599
- Purpose: Measures burst strength of pipe
- Criteria: Samples are filled with water and pressure is increased at a specified rate until burst
Results
The FlowGuard Gold pipe bursts at 1608 psi in 64.4 seconds.
